Union Community ResourcesUnion Community Resources (UCR) is a program funded by local labor unions to assist union families in crisis. The program operates under Working Partnerships USA, an independently funded social change organization founded by labor and community groups that equips everyday people to participate and win in developing a fair and free society. In these difficult economic times, working families in our community face hunger, homelessness, the lack of affordable health care and transportation challenges. UCR staff is trained to help these families access appropriate social services and to provide direct financial assistance in crisis situations. For more information about UCR please contact Steve Preminger, Director of Union Community Resources, at (408) 266-3870 or steve@atwork.org. For 25 years UCR has sponsored the UCR Holiday Party each December, which has provided food, fun and gifts to tens of thousands of working families in the South Bay. For many children, the UCR Holiday Party provides the only toy they will receive during the holiday season. Please contact Preminger for more information about the UCR Holiday Party or to learn how to make donations. ![]() |
