Added October 28th, 2009
Staying home for Thanksgiving? Join South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council President Ron Lind and run or walk in the 5th annual Silicon Valley Turkey Trot and help out the Santa Clara Family Health Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank and the Housing Trust during a time of severe economic stress. This year's fundraising goal is $250,000.
Register online at www.svturkeytrot.com and save $5 for each adult over race day registration. Online registration is $35 for either the 5K or 10K, and the Kids Fun Run is only $10.
Race day registration is at Guadalupe River Park in downtown San Jose on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 beginning at 7 a.m. The 5K run/walk and 10K run begin at 8:30 a.m. on new courses, the Kids Fun Run is at 10:50 a.m. and the awards ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m.
